GILES BRAND
Giles is the founder of EPE LLP. He is currently a non-executive director of a number of portfolio companies: Pinnacle Regeneration Group (social housing and PFI manager), Nexus Industries, Pharmacy2U and Palatinate Schools. Before joining EPE LLP Giles was a founding Director of EPIC Investment Partners, a fund management business which at sale to Syndicate Asset Management plc had US$5bn under management and spent five years working in Mergers and Acquisitions at Baring Brothers in Paris and London. Giles read History at Bristol University.

NICK DENNISTON
Nick assists companies on strategy, M&A, capital raising and investments and financial strategy. From 2005 to 2009 he was CFO and Interim CEO for Argo International (formerly Heritage Underwriting Agency plc-Lloyd's Underwriting Business; annual premium income £500m - AIM listed with 1400 shareholders; May 2008 sold to Argo, Bermuda based insurer). He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young in 1981. Between 1982 and 1995 he worked at SG Warburg, latterly as an Executive Director, working on mergers and acquisitions and equity issues. In 1995 he was appointed Finance Director of the CDC Capital Partners, a UK Government owned US$2 billion emerging markets investment business. In 2000 he was appointed as a Managing Director of Securitas Capital, Swiss Re's private equity investment firm. Nick read Agricultural Economics at Oxford University.

JAMES HENDERSON
James worked in the Investment Banking division at Deutsche Bank before joining EPE LLP. Whilst at Deutsche Bank he worked on a number of M&A transactions and IPOs in the energy, property, retail and gaming sectors, as well as providing corporate broking advice to mandated clients. He also manages the investments in Ryness Electrical and Pharmacy2U. He is currently a non-executive director of Indicia, an integrated marketing services provider and digital marketing agency. James read Modern History at Oxford University and Medicine at Nottingham University.

AAKASH KALACHAND
Aakash worked at Deloitte LLP prior to joining EPE LLP. Whilst at Deloitte, Aakash was involved primarily in the Financial Services industry across a breadth of services spanning External Audits, Controls Assessment and Risk advisory both in the IT and regulatory environments. Aakash read Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics & Political Science and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountant of England & Wales).

ALEX LESLIE
Alex worked in Healthcare Investment Banking at Piper Jaffray before joining EPE LLP. Whilst at Piper Jaffray he worked on a number of M&A transactions and equity fundraisings within the Biotechnology, Specialty Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology sectors. Alex read Human Biological and Social Sciences at Oxford University and obtained an MPhil in Management from the Judge Business School at Cambridge University.

HIREN PATEL
Hiren is Finance Director at EPIC Private Equity LLP and has worked in the investment management market specialising in medium sized companies for the past 8 years. Before EPE LLP, Hiren was employed at Groupama Asset Management Limited where he was the Group Financial Controller. He also has numerous senior financial positions including EPIC Investment Partners Limited, EEA Fund Management Ltd and ER Property Company Limited. Hiren is a Director of E.H.M Financial Providers Limited and Establishment H.M. Limited.

CHARLES VIVIAN
Charles previously worked as an Investment Manager at Marwyn Capital, a fund manager specialising in listed, small cap buy-and-build investment strategies, where he led numerous acquisitions and disposals as well as managing the investments in portfolio companies. Prior to Marwyn, Charles worked for over six years as an associate at international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he specialised in public and private M&A and capital markets and completed an 18 month secondment at UBS Investment Bank. Charles read Law at Cambridge University.

JOE WILSON
Joe worked as a Strategy and Business Development Manager at Betfair before joining EPE LLP. Whilst at Betfair he led global planning and forecasting for sports, identifying opportunities for growth in customer segments, geographical regions and new sport categories. Prior to Betfair, Joe worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co., where he worked across a wide range of industries on strategic and operational projects. Joe read Economics and Management at Oxford University.
