PHILIP SCALES (Administration) is Managing Director of IOMA Fund and Investment Management Limited and a former Managing Director of Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services (Isle of Man) Limited. Prior to this, Philip was employed by an English merchant bank and has over 30 years' experience of working in offshore corporate and mutual fund administration. Philip joined the IOMA Group in January 2006 to establish a new subsidiary company offering fund administration and investment management services. Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and holds a number of non-executive directorships for fully listed, AIM companies and Mutual Fund Groups.
DEREK MENDONCA (Compliance) is a Director of Compliance Services Ltd. Derek has advised the EPIC group of companies since inception and has over 25 years experience of the financial services sector in various roles. Since 1996 he has specialised in advising FSA regulated firms on compliance issues and managing fast track FSA applications. Derek is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from European Business School at South Bank with distinctions in Finance and Strategic Management. He has also completed the examinations of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators.
JAMES McKAY (Legal Adviser) is a corporate partner in the London office of international law firm, Hammonds. James advises on all aspects of corporate work and specialises in private equity and M&A. James read History at Leeds University and took his law finals at the Royal College of Law.
NIGEL CAMPION-SMITH (Legal Adviser) is a partner in the London office of Latham & Watkins and has worked with EPE LLP & EPE Ltd since its inception. Nigel advises the EPE Special Opportunities plc and EPIC plc Boards.
RICHARD SPIEGELBERG (Public Relations) is a Director of Cardew Group and Public Relations Adviser to EPIC Private Equity LLP. He previously spent 11 years at Merrill Lynch as Director, Marketing & Communications for Europe, Middle East, and Africa and Director of Corporate Communications for the International Private Banking Group. He previously held senior posts at J Walter Thompson, Coopers & Lybrand and Streets Financial Strategy, where he was Joint Managing Director. Richard began his career as a journalist on The Times where he was Business News Features Editor and Management Editor. He is a director of the City of London Sinfonia and a graduate of New College, Oxford University.
